So many wonderful ‘what ifs’ to play with if one could turn back time. I’m not sure there’s anything I’d change, for fear it would change everything…
I'd tell myself it's okay to do things just for me. That I don't need to feel guilty when I choose to be Maggie for a few hours, rather than the wife, the mother, the daughter.
And I'd smack myself all those times I lifted heavy things in kitchens because 'there was no one else around'. Yes there is, just ask. Stop hurting your back!
This is the stuff I love to read—nothing fancy, just life. The good stuff is in these moments, you have captured their essence so well. Thank you.
Thank you! I’m enjoying writing this way for now, without the pressure of finishing the next book!

I am the same. I wouldn’t want to undo what I have - even the slightest change would do that. But I would be kinder to myself.
That’s a really good point, and something I’m not very skilled at. Going to try and keep it in mind today, thanks! x

Definitely ask for help!
And yes, I think questions like these can make us think more about how we would treat ourselves.
Gorgeous words
Thank you!
