Monique, your newsletter is beautiful, as always. "I have a vintage bone china trio tea set with a cornflower pattern" - I have one too from my grandma and it reminds me of Mum who loved cornflowers so much that she had them in her wedding in January in Sydney, which apparently caused great consternation as they were hard to get. Also, One Day ... I feel so sad but can't look away. I don't know how far in we are but oh, my heart.
Thank you, Maggie. I wish I could make my roast chicken as well as my oma, but maybe it would never be as good because the essential ingredient was her!
Monique - I love the little snippets that give us a peek inside your family and your life. These small moments of connection and emotion are beautiful. Thank you.
Monique, your writing is so vivid and beautiful! It truly captivates the reader.
Thank you so much for your encouragement, Tuğba.

I love these vignette's of your days
My stepmother is watching One Day right now (I’m visiting) and I just know she’s going to be very sad soon.
I’m really enjoying writing this way - exploring vignettes and tying them to something larger.
Beautiful as always 🥰

Thank you for saying that. Sometimes I wonder if others really are interested but then a comment like this makes me smile.
