A quote from one of my all time favourite movies, Willow. To step away, forward, to the side, to move in a direction different from what society expects, it’s BIG. It’s radical. It’s important. I am so deeply grateful to my partner who is essentially supporting me financially as I start my business, my internal driver that so wants to educate the world and share tools that improve our lives, mindfulness, deep personal development, nervous system regulation, finding creativity when you feel the well is dry.
I wish you so much joy in your journey, Monique, and I look forward to reading more about your big life 💖
The exchanges between you & your husband here felt so encouraging to me. And this whole post had me welling up a bit - I think it’s from both a personal tug on reflecting about my own life and desires, and a deep sense of freedom found in witnessing others stepping into their callings and creativity. So looking forward to following along with your writing journey, Monique.
It is! It means giving up some things (or changing the way they are done), which I recall you writing about a while back; living on one wage while I find my way. But living on our terms. And that’s exciting.
It will be a couple more months - I’ll work out my contract so probably by the end of May I’ll come home with a box of stuff, take a deep breath and start again.
It takes courage to step out of the comfort of known and live BIG whole-hearted life on your own terms. I can feel your courage through your words. Cheering to you!
Thank you for the lovely mention in this post. I'm very inspired reading your words and I smiled when I read your description of the conversation you had with your husband when those doubts were running through your mind. I know that feeling only too well! Excited to follow your journey.
The first step away from the old habits/job/life is a step towards the new ones. We don’t always have to know or understand where we’re going to take that first step, either.
Congrats on lifting your foot and choosing a new path 🌻
When you close a door behind you, it opens up a whole new world in front of you. There are many on the journey with you.
Courage, Willow.

If I ever win the lottery, I'll be funding people like you and me to live a wholehearted creative life.
Congratulations on the leap, Monique. I relate to all of this *so* much :)
Take the leap! Follow your passion! ✨🤗

Here’s to taking the big leap! And living your BIG life. Xx
Congratulations on taking the leap, Monique. I've been there, it took me two very difficult years to do it, I know how hard it is.
I look forward to reading about your BIG life. Sending strength and love.🤎
